Here is another Toys R’ Us re-issue from the early 2000’s I added to my collection. I never had the original version. These were a great alternative from the Japanese The Transformers Collection from Takara which were $60-$80 at the time.

GM Guncannon/RGM-89 Jegan (“Jim”) Gundams

Below are two variants of the GM (or otherwise known as the “Jim”) Gundams.  One is the twin cannon variant and the other is the grunt/cannon fodder version that usually gets killed off right away.

Dancouga GigaBrain 2003

Here’s the Dancouga GigaBrain. Another robot that my cousin lent me since I didn’t have the original Dancougar.  This one’s a new version from Gigabrain.  I don’t know when the Real Action Robo Dancouga came out as I couldn’t find a year on the box but guessing in the mid-2000’s. I am seeing 2003 on the web.  I think the new version looks better as a robot but the original has more heft and that’s the one I grew up with.  My cousin has the original one as well.

MS-06R-1A Zaku II Second Version – MSIA Bandai 2003

I couldn’t find the cartoon still of the figure below but did find a model kit.  According to Gundam Wiki, this model has been around since the beginning (Gundam 0079).  I have seen this one in other series such as the MS-08th Team from the late 80’s.

Sideswipe Dodge Viper 2003 – Transformers Alternators Hasbro

Here’s another Alternator. It is Sideswipe that transforms into a Dodge Viper that I purchased back in 2003. I didn’t realize they had such a varied run as I see there’s about 20 different kinds I am seeing on the web.

Smokescreen Transformers Alternators Hasbro 2003

I bought this one at Target probably 2003. I hadn’t really bought any Transformers after the Generation 1 series, but I really liked the way the Alternators transformed. They looked good as a robot and car.

This one is Smokescreen. The Alternators transform into current model cars, so this one becomes a Subaru Impreza.

Gundam MSIA AMX-004-3 Qubeley Mk-II from Gundam Z 2003 Bandai

These are two Quebeley type robots as part of the extensive MSIA series. I bought these in Japan 2004. The red one is an MSIA version from 2003. There was a white one (as pictured in the animation cell) that I picked up recently, you can see the post here. I managed to find the blue one in a cartoon clip and I’ve added it here.

PMX-003 The-O MSIA Bandai 2003 from anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

I bought the PMX-003 The-O in Akihabara Japan 2004. This was part of the extensive MSIA series that I just couldn’t get enough of then (and now) due to the variety of mecha. As you can see, he’s much heftier than the typical MSIA, although admittedly, he isn’t much to look at.
