MS-06R-1A Zaku II Second Version – MSIA Bandai 2003

I couldn’t find the cartoon still of the figure below but did find a model kit.  According to Gundam Wiki, this model has been around since the beginning (Gundam 0079).  I have seen this one in other series such as the MS-08th Team from the late 80’s.

Gundam MSIA Jagd Doga 4.5″ Bandai America 2001

Here’s one of my favorite Zeon mecha – the Jagd Doga in green/yellow.  This is one that I got in a large lot of loose Gundam figures.  He’s missing the left shoulder plate but otherwise, he’s complete and I’m happy as he’s hard to find in this color scheme. This appeared in Char’s Counterattack 1988.  The toy I have is in the green/yellow paint scheme but the cartoon has it in blue/yellow and red/white version.

Arch Enemy Gelgoog MS-14S

Here’s a brand new Arch Enemy Gelgoog MS-14S from the anime Gundam Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack that came out in the early 2000’s.  This is the Gelgoog Commander Type piloted by Char Aznable. I scored this (and huge lot of loose 4 inch figures) from an awesome guy I met through Craigslist.  I never had this when it came out as the Zakus weren’t too popular here – you only saw the Gundams.  Thus, when I went to Asia in 2004, I made sure I got as many of the Zakus as I could get my hands on.

Master Gundam MSIA 2004 Bandai America

Another one from the Mobile Fighter G Gundam anime series as part of the Toonami releases, this time Master Gundam from Neo Hong Kong. This is one of the better looking ones from this series. It came out in 2004.

Haow Gundam 2002 – G Gundam Neo Hong Kong

While I didn’t get into the G Gundam series, I really like the robots in this series as they broke the typical Gundam mold by showing representations of different nations.

This one is the Haow Gundam aka Kowloon Gundam piloted by Master Asia of Neo Hong Kong Toho Fuhai

Mega Size Dragon Gundam 2002 Bandai

This is a Bandai Mega Size Dragon Gundam representing Neo China.  I can’t remember where I bought this but I believe I bought this in Portland on the way to my cousin’s wedding in 2002.

Z Gundam Hand Book AM JuJu 1985

I had this book from the 80’s because even back then, I was into Gundam although I didn’t realize how many series it would spawn.  I bought this Z Gundam Hand Book at Kinokuniya Bookstore in Japantown 1986.

Zaku Digital Clock

I bought this Zaku digital clock during my last visit to Japan for 3 dollars in a toy store in Akihabara. The eye still lights up but the LCD no longer works as I can’t see any time. Oh well, it was a cheap thrill.

Deluxe Nu Gundam RX-93 Bandai America from anime Kidou Senshi Gundam: Gyakushuu no Char(機動戦士ガンダム 逆襲のシャア) 1988

Deluxe Nu Gundam RX-93 Char’s Counterattack 1988 Bandai America

This is the big 12″ deluxe version of the Nu Gundam from Char’s Counterattack. This model was an upgrade over the Mark II (see the figure on the left – purchased in Japan 1985 – which was part of Z Gundam or Zeta Gundam) and featured fins on the back that could independently attack an enemy. I believe they could also form a shield around Gundam as well. This cartoon came out in 1988 I believe but we didn’t see this toy until much, much later as I bought this in a toy store in Portland (of all places) in 2003. I’m guessing since there was a Gundam craze in the early 2000’s (Gundam Wing, G Gundam were playing at the time in the States on Cartoon Network as Toonami), they just thought they could make some money by introducing anything Gundam related.

Maxter Gundam MSIA 2002 7.5″ Bandai America

Another Gundam 7.5″ from the G-Gundam series – this time the Maxter Gundam representing the USA or Neo America. Most likely purchased at Target or Toys R Us early 2002. I didn’t really get into this series but I bought the robots nonetheless, since I loved Gundam as a whole
