Here’s another piece that I bought for a very reasonable price of about 35 dollars.  This one is the RGZ-91 from Char’s Counterattack and was the first transformable Gundam suit. I was hoping it was a big deluxe version but it’s only 7 inches. Still, it’s quite a nice piece and I’m happy with it as I didn’t have this one. Well, I could probably say that for the millions of other Gundam mecha from the various genres (Gundam 0079, 0080, 0082, MS08 Team, Char’s Counterattack, Gundam Seed/Destiny/Wing/Unicorn…)

I finally had some time today and finally took him out of the box. I have only displayed him with the gun because I’m so paranoid about losing pieces.

Camouflage Zaku

Here’s a rare variant that I have never seen – toy or cartoon – a camouflage Zaku MS-06J. This was another loose piece I got on Ebay for a good price.  If you were to get him on the card, you’ll pay about 50 dollars. I got him for about 9 dollars I think. I do not really care about the packaging or box anyway. I really like the camo version of the Zaku. Actually, I have not run into a Zaku I did not like. It is one of my favorite Gundam designs.

Gundam MSIA Alex Gundam – Gundam 0080

Here’s another loose MSIA piece I just got on Ebay.  This one’s called the Alex Gundam( short for Armored Layers EXperimental) and it’s from Gundam 0080. From reading Wiki, this a new mecha built specifically for “Newtypes” (basically, humans with enhanced mental capabilities – they are said to almost , in essence, have a 6th sense).  This model has the new “Chobham” armor which is basically armor plates bolted onto the unit.

Sideswipe – Autobot 1993 Transformers Generation 2

I didn’t collect many Transformers after G1 save for two Alternators and this Sideswipe G2 that I happen to spot loose in a collectibles store.  I bought him as I have the other two Lamborghini G1’s (see 2nd image – Sideswipe – Red and Red Alert – Fire chief) and I thought it would be cool to have the set. My cousin gave me the yellow Sunstreaker for Christmas and I now have all 4 Lamborghinis.

Thrust, Ramjet and Dirge “Coneheads” – Transformers G1

Here’s the 2nd set of planes issued for the Transformers G1 – Thrust, Ramjet, and Dirge. I didn’t realize they call these the “Coneheads” because their heads are like cones (although I’ve kept their nose cones down as I like them better that way).

Anyway, I just picked these up today.  I wasn’t originally a fan of these in the beginning as I liked the Autobot cars more but I had the original three planes from season 1 (see 3rd image – Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker) so I decided to get the next three (season 2) to complete the set.   These were not re-issued as part of the reissue series in the early 2000’s.

Evidently, there is another plane from season 1 called Sunstreaker that I have seen online but I don’t recall him as a kid.  I just found the sticker sheets for these planes for cheap and I’m hoping to get them soon as there are no stickers for the eyes, feet and wings so they look kind of barren at the moment.  The person I bought them from didn’t put the stickers because he said that over time, the stickers would come off anyway.

Blaster – Transformers Generation 1 1985

Here’s a loose Blaster that I don’t recall how I got but it’s cool because I now have the Decepticon’s Soundwave (both tape player mechas).  I understand that the complete set of this toy also has the Autobot cassettes Eject and Ramhorn.  The other two Autobot cassettes (not included) were Rewind and Steeljaw.

This one’s another clone that I bought at a fair. Not sure if this is the Shackwave, Galactic Man or Astro Magnum.  I can’t remember though… I originally bought this before he was featured in Transformers but lucked out when they introduced him as Shockwave.  I had some extra Decepticon stickers and slapped them .  I think the original version is more purple while mine is just olive green.
