Sorry, these are my first pictures using my old iPhone 4. That yellowing in the image really bugs me. I will get back to this and add some nice pictures. The RMS-106 Hi Zack is an awesome little robot. Perfect to add to your Gundam collection. It’s got a cool gladiator design and the color schemed really works as a military robot. The military green reminds me of the old Humvee I road around in when I was in still in the military. I dig the shoulder spike and red boot rockets. The yellow accents on the vents and tubes provide a nice contrast. I like Zaku’s more than the standard Gundams. Like say the RX-78. I can’t imagine designing a robot with a white, blue and red color scheme. I would almost say this robot design is influenced by the Votoms Scopedog. It is a much better looking robot, than the Scopedog though. The Scopedog looks like an old fashioned diving suit, the Hi Zack looks like a war machine.
The RMS-106 Hi Zack is from the High Complete Model Line or HCM were essentially completed models of anime robots usually Gundam, aimed at younger children or adults who did not have the time or skill to make model kits in the 1980’s. Looks like a new line of High Complete Models came out in the mid to late 2000’s called the HCM Pro which look amazing.
Made in Japan
So I finally got around to putting up some new pictures of the RMS-106 Hi Zack. I never did figure out when this figure was made. I was thinking 80’s or maybe this is a early 2000’s reissue. I wish I could read a little Japanese. You have to be a little careful with these HCM’s. They are more like models than action figures. I broke the plastic clip on the backpack as I took it off after taking pictures
If the HCM was not cool enough, the robots come with a cool little profile card and instruction booklet as well.
